Layerwatch

Privacy policy

Effective 8 October 2026

Layerwatch collects nothing. It talks only to the 3D printer you set up, over your own network, and keeps everything it needs on your phone.

What the app stores, on your phone only

None of this leaves your phone. It is removed when you uninstall the app. Leaving demo mode or choosing Forget printer removes the connection details. Timelapses you choose to save go to your phone's Movies folder, where they stay under your control.

Network connections

Layerwatch connects only to the printer whose address you enter: its status service, camera and file storage. Every connection is encrypted, and checked against Bambu Lab's certificates and your printer's serial number. The app has no servers of its own. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code, and it doesn't connect to Bambu Lab's cloud.

Permissions

Data sharing

No data is shared with anyone, because no data is collected.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. The full history is public in the project repository.
